The discussion of life skill training for care leavers is lacking, so the purpose of this study attempts to explore the model and problems of independent living program in children’s home. Research method adopted in-depth interview to collect data, and there are totally 10 interviewees including 4 youths in children’s home, 3 care leavers, and 3 social workers. Results indicate our government gradually paid more attention to independent living program which included life skill training, the introduction of job-seeking and school-advancing, and economical security from 2007. However, there were many challenges when carrying out such as the unclear law norm, the manpower-shorting, the dull teaching styles, the difficulty in carrying policy training into life in institutions, and lacking of integrating information and model policies.
