Badminton and tennis players needs overall physical fitness capacity. However, there are still unclear as compared of badminton and tennis players on health and sport-related physical fitness. Purpose: the purpose of this study was to compare the health and sport-related physical fitness between badminton and tennis players. This outcome could offer coach in training programs arrangement in the future. Methods: thirty male healthyplayers were recruited from badminton and tennis teams and randomly performed height, weight, 60s curl up, sit and reach, 3 min step test, softball throwing, reaction time, stand on one leg with eyes closed, 30m sprint, triple standing jump and T agility tests. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Independent t tests wereused to compare differences of badminton and tennis players. Significant level was set at α = .05. Results: there was significant difference on flexibility between badminton and tennis players (p < .05). Moreover, there were significant differences on coordination, reaction time, power and agility (p < .05). Conclusion: Badminton players had advantages on flexibility, reaction time and agility as compared to tennis ones. However, tennis players had higher coordination and power than badminton ones. We recommend that coaches can used the superiority of different sports and arrange in training programs in the future, for achievingthe goal of enhance overall physical fitness.
