題名：與未造訪過地點之地方連結發展探討

一般研究多認為與地方的連結需要人與環境經過長時間互動才能產生；雖然有少數文獻指出人們有可能會對一個新的地點產生連結，但對於此種連結發生的原因則較少有深入的討論。因此本研究主要目的即為為討論人們對於未知地點連結的發生與其過去經驗間之關係，進而對地方連結的發生有更進一步的瞭解。本研究對象為馬來西亞僑生與台灣學生。利用不同生長背景受測者探討生長背景經驗對於不同國家之景觀照片的連結反應。景觀照片為馬來西亞、臺灣、陌生地點三類。照片中有3張為地點為臺灣，但風格相似馬來西亞之景觀照片；臺灣景觀照片中有3張為地點為臺灣，但風格相似馬來西亞之景觀照片；未知地點照片多為殖民統治過馬來西亞之國家照片。研究結果顯示兩組受測者對於自己生長背景之照片皆有較高的連結感；針對地點未知但與馬來西亞相似之景觀照片，結果為馬來西亞人對於景觀有較高的連結感；地點為台灣但相似馬來西亞景觀、地點為馬來西亞但相似臺灣景觀之照片結果為兩組都對這種景觀照片有相似的連結反應。由結果我們可以知生長背景對特定景觀的連結有可能轉移至陌生地點，主要是由對另一個地點的過去使用經驗為基礎而產生。本研究結果將可提供景觀設計及規劃上的重要參考，特別是運用於觀光遊憩上。
Many studies, especially community related, have stated that bonds with a place can form only through long interaction. Literature has also indicated that place bonding is positively related to EUH, possession of a place, or involvement in activities. However, people may still develop instant feelings towards new places. This study seems to understand the possibility of bonding transferability or continuity. A photo-based internet survey was performed for this study. Respondents from two different countries, Taiwan and Malaysia, were asked to indicate their feelings of bonding to a place depicted in 24 photos. Respondents are expected to exhibit higher bonding to places in (or similar to) their own country. The study results demonstrated that respondents have higher bonding to the places in the pictures taken from their home countries, even though they have no idea where those places are located. The results indicated that the formation of bonding to a new place is based on past experiences elsewhere. The results significantly supported the methodology of place research, particularly for tourist bonding/attachment to places.
