In the field of zheng music, many pieces do correlate with the content of "Ba-Ban." This thesis thus takes zheng pieces based on Hakka Dadiao as the main research object to analyze the form and characteristics of "Ba-Ban" in Hakka zheng music. The thesis compared four selected Hakka Dadiao with the score of "Ba-Ban" to investigate their relevance, and further discussed the form and characteristics of "Ba- Ban" that present in these pieces from the aspects of rhythmic pattern, melodic feature, variation method, and performing techniques. The research result revealed that Hakka Dadiao take "Ba-Ban" as the foundation of the melodic structure, merging different performing techniques and diverse musical elements during the developing process, and forms a unique Hakka zheng music style.
