595 school students were investigated with responses on their perception of six mother's roles on the "Mother's Role Questionnaire". The results show that: (1) level of mother's education had significant influences on children's perception of the importance of mother's roles; (2) it had relations between number of children and children's perception of the importance of mother's roles. The findings of this study suggest that: (1) high educated mothers should pay more consideration of their children; (2) low educated mothers should get lots more knowledge about rearing children; (3) mothers, had many children, should pay more attention to sustain family relationship.
