本研究以342位社會男女在「女性角色期望調查問卷」上的反應，分析樣本對女性角色的期望，結果發現：(1) 樣本的女性角色期望傾向非常積極；而身體健康、賢慧善良、良好的內涵、、有愛心及蹦端莊，為最受重視的五項女性特質；(2) 未婚與教育程度對樣本的女性角色期望影響顯著；(3) 年齡對樣本的女性角色期望影響並不顯著。根據上述研究發現，本研究提出四點具體建議：(1) 養成傳統與近代並重的多元化女性特質；(2) 兩性相互激勵、支持以求和諧進步；(3) 鼓勵婚後女性發展自我；(4) 透過教育重塑女性角色期望。
342 men and women sampled from the society were investigated with their responses on "The Female Role Expectation Questionnaire", prepared by the invest igator. The results show that : 1) the female role expectation of the sample tend to be very positive, and health, virtuous intelligence and kind-heartedness, well-developed internal cultivation, to be able to take loving care of others, and sober dignity are the five most appreciated female traits ; 2) sex, being married or not and the level of education have significant influences on female role expectation; 3) age is insignificant in influencing female role expectation. Based upon the findings mentioned above, the study suggests that : 1)multi-dimensional female traits be established with equal emphasis on both the traditional and the modern aspects; 2) males and females be mutually to ruge, encourage and support each other in order to seek for harmony and advancement; 3) married women be encouraged to develop their selves; and 4) female role expectation be remodeled through education.
