最近二十年來，我國台灣地區由於政治社會文化的急遽變遷，導致政治結構、社會結構與經濟結構的迅速轉變，於是乎形成許多轉型期的社會問題，少年犯罪即是其中相當重要的一項；就犯罪人口率而言，到民國八十一年，少年犯罪人口率已激增至萬分之一二二‧六九，遠較成人犯罪人口率 (萬分之九四‧七九) 為高；再者，在同一階段，男性少年犯只增加了三‧七七倍，而女性少年犯卻激增了九‧○○倍，女性少年犯罪之嚴重性，於此可見；惟國內過去鮮少學者進行有關女性少年犯罪問題之研究。 本研究之主要目的，即是站在犯罪心理學與犯罪社會學的角度，探索女性少年犯罪行為的相關因素，據以提出有效防制女性少年犯罪的對策，供有關當局研擬犯罪防制計畫決策之參考。本研究主要係運用文獻探討、調查法、原因比較研究法、觀察法、深層晤談以及個案研究法等方式，蒐集第一手資料，並採用自編之「青少年生活情境量表」及「青少年心理量表」，對各類型男性少年犯244名、各類型女性少年犯160名、國三及高中高職男生809名、女生719名分別加以測驗，並對五十名男性少年與五十名女性少年犯進行深層晤談、觀察與施測。 研究結果發現：1.各自變項對潛在非行性以及自陳偏差與犯罪等五個依變項最具預測力者是：(1)逃學次數；(2)不良交友；(3)好奇心；(4)不良學行成績；(5)動機延緩能力； (6)怨恨情緒； (7)憂鬱情緒； (8)刺激尋求取向；(9)父親關愛程度；(10)親屬偏差；(11)攻擊性：(12)情緒疏導能力：(13)外控取向；(14)自我概念；(15)自我克制能力；(16)家庭社經地位；(17)校內人際關係；(18)家庭功能；(19)疏離感；(20)認同父母；(21)偏差價值觀。2.在各類型少年犯與一般少年之間，除了在母親關愛度等四個分量表的平均數上無顯著差異存在之外，在其餘各分量表及總分上均有顯著差異存在，顯示各類型少年犯之家庭、學校與社會背景、個人性格特質、情緒狀態、潛在非行性、自陳偏差與犯罪行為均較一般少年具有更多不利的因素存在。3.男女性少年犯相較，顯示男性少年犯之父親關愛程度較女性少年犯更低，其在校學業操行成績較女性少年犯更低劣，逃學紀錄、不良交友情形較女性少年犯更多，自陳暴力犯罪行為次數亦較女性少年犯為多；但是，女性少年犯之自陳藥物濫用行為與財產犯罪行為則較男性少年犯為多。4.家庭、學校與社會、性格特質、情緒狀態、潛在非行性等自變項對自陳偏差或犯罪行為影響較具有交互作用效果者是：性格特質與學校和社會變項的交互作用、性格特質與潛在非行性的交互作用、學校和社會變項與潛非行性的交互作用等項。5.依據本研究質與量整合的結果發現：(1)就犯罪生涯而言，女性少年犯有前科紀錄者固然較男性少年犯更多，但其前科次數則比男性少年犯更少，且其所犯罪行，亦以毒品或財產犯罪為最多，不似男性少年犯以暴力犯罪為主。(2)女性少年犯之父母親職業與社會階層，遠較男性少年犯為低，屬於破碎家庭或其他家庭功能不足之不健全家庭者更多；換言之，女性少年犯通常遭受較男性少年犯更多病態家庭的不利衝擊，才會陷入犯罪。(3)女性少年犯比男性少年犯更早報學，在各年級階段之輟學率，亦更高於男性少年犯。(4)女性少年犯比男性少年犯性經驗來得更早，且有甚多在不正當特種營業場所從事色情行業，因而極易陷入偏差或犯罪行為的深淵，而不克自拔。(5)就犯罪成因而言，不論男性或女性少年犯，其犯罪導因都是多種因素交互影響的結果，且均以家庭、學校、社會環境與心理特質交互影響者為最多，家庭、學校與心理特質交互影響者次之，家庭、社會與心理特質交互影響者又次之；但是，在上列變項的比重上，大致均以對女性少年犯罪行為促成的比重較大；換言之，女性少年之所以犯罪，必然是因為她蒙受較男性少年犯更大的家庭、學校、社會環境以及個人心理特質的不利打擊，始會促成。
The purpose of this study was to explore the causation and preventive strategy of girl juverile delinquency in Taiwan, R.O.C. the samples of this study included hi 244 boy delinquents, 160 girl delinquents., 809 boys and 719girls, which age was fourteen to mineteen years old. The measurement instruments of this study were the youth Life situation Inventory and youth Psychological Inventory. The major findings included: (1) the highest predictive power of inclependent wariables for girl delinquency were: a. frequencies of trantry; b. injurous friends; c. vercuriosity; d. bad grade in school; e. hate emotion; f. depressive emotion; g. stimulus seeking; h. parental deviance; i. Aggression; j. external locus of control; k. negative self concepts; l. low self control, and so on. (2) girl deliquents has been incured much impacts in broken home, socicultural deprivation, school maladjustment and unhealthy personality traits.
