The purpose of this study was to understand the life adjustment of the divorced men to the job, supportive..network, father-child relationship, intimate relationship and daily personal adjustment after divorce, and to emplore the key factors affecting the divorced men's life adjustment, and to establish the meaningful hypotheses. Directive in-depth interview method of qualitative research was used with the purposive sampling from the members of the Chinese Association of Single Parents, along with observation and document recording methods in order to increase the validity and reliablity of the study. Five members of the Chinese Association of Single Parents, obtained through snowballing, and three divorced single males, recommended by the members. The conclusions were drawn as follows according to the results:(1)Whether the divorced men had children would be a facter affecting their financial situation. (2)The affect of the divorce event on the divorced father's original supportive network was greater than the divorced single males. (3)The divorced fathers played the roles of a father and a mother, and had difficulties in raising children of opposite sex. (4)The feelings and states of mind of the divorced man in terms of man-woman relationship were "watching" and easy to "become stagmant". Regarding the sexual need, the divorce event had a negative impact on the divorced man. And the divorced man faced the remarriage issue with passiveness and non-posjtiveness. (5)The individual adjustment of the divorced man was a continuous process with chaos, including the self-closed and panic coping stage and adjusting stage. (6)An analysis pattem of the three levels of the divorced man's life adjustment was established.
