This study focuses on the requirements and difficulties women entrepreneurs face in their career and the role of support groups during the process. Our main strategies in this study are to conduct in depth interviews and observation, as well as base our analysis on the principals of trust and reciprocity of social capital. Since 2005, we have interviewed 6 members of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Taiwan to examine the following research objectives: 1.The motivation and process by women entrepreneurs; 2.The influence of support groups throughout their career. We will also conclude with 3 proposals: 1.Advance education or on-the-job training to enhance the self -esteem of women entrepreneurs; 2. Establishment of women entrepreneur’s image for social welfare awareness; 3.Value the role of support groups in the process of women entrepreneurship and fully utilize their resources and connections.
