Mainland China's rural enterprise is now a new force in its economic revolution, and in recent years have become a major topic of conern in studies of China around the world. The research on the models of Mainland China's rural enterprise investigates the mechanism of its development through the use of case studies. Three models most frequently discussed in academic literature and in informal debate are the Sunan, Wenzhou and Zhujiang model. In addition to a comparison of the three models based on their general features, this paper gives a detailed description of their geographic positions historical backgrounds, and humanistic environments, providing the reader with a comprehensive understanding of them. Mutual imitation, an important feature pertaining to all models, is described, since it is by mutual imitation that Mainland China's rural enterprise develops towards growth and stability.
