Reason and ritual form a powerful and invisible force in the daily life of old and small villages in Longzhupeng and Lahuxi to promote a harmonious and orderly operation of the village culture,which has become a key factor in cultural identity of Lahuxi branch in the border area between China and Burma. These villages have integrated the headman system,religious beliefs,historical memory,ancestral identity,and ethical norms,created a set of traditional culture embodying the reason and ritual and combined it with the rule of faith,festival rituals and symbols. Through village temple and God worship,they have established an interrelationship beyond the interactive scope of administrative villages,which has become the historical and cultural memory and a symbol of ethnic kinship identity of the ten Lahuxi villages in the border area between China and Burma.
