隨著現代社會的發展以及女性主義的興起,社會性別和性別意識形態逐漸受到當代社會科學研究者的重視。父母對孩子的影響已得到廣泛的關注,但近年來的研究證據顯示,孩子也能夠影響父母的社會觀念與社會態度。本研究以CGSS2013數據為樣本,探討子女及其性別是否能對父母的性別意識形態產生影響。結果發現,子女數量能夠顯著影響父母(尤其是母親)的性別意識形態;是否有兒子對父母性別意識形態的影響受到母親身份的調節,並且有兒子能顯著增強母親對傳統主義性別意識形態的認同。這一發現對於理解中國父權制度文化影響下的子女性別與父母性別意識形態的關係問題提供了直接、具體的證據。
