For the past few years, computer-based networked learning has been applied to severaldifferent subject matters in elementary schools. However, very few attempts have beenmade to utilize this technology on physical education. This study attempts to design, develop, and evaluate a Virtual Physical Education Environment for Elementary Schools(VPES). The system includes four sections: physical education administration, physicaleducation teaching, physical education learning, and sport extension. We hope VPES willserve as an interactive environment for physical education administrators at varied levels, physical education teachers, students, parents, and people who enjoy sports.
