Lifestyle is a way of life or style of living which reflects the attitudes and values of a person. Both Juan chi and Lee Po were against the tradition. They enjoyed life through wine, solitude, and immersed themselves in the Taoist religion. However, they both differed in their expression of life. Juan Chi seldom wrote about the joys of wine. Though he loved drinking, he hid under the glass various sensitive talks that h dared not to be involved or not necessary to be involved. On the contrary, Lee Po frequently wrote about the joys of wine. His addiction to wine was related to his unsuccessful attempts to use his poetry to gain an official position. However, “Wine” played a significant role in poets’ romantics. Juan Chi’s anti-tradition and love of nature originated form his opposition against the government policy of “killing people by ethical scheme”. Lee Po’s “Craziness” was tremendously influenced by the Western culture, in addition to his “untrammeled and unconventional” characteristics. Such lifestyle was a unique method of pursuit of freedom and romantics as well. Both of Juan Chi and Lee Po were influenced by Taoism. In their poems, they revealed in zigzags or emotionally expressed their sadness about life. Sometimes they wandered in a transcendental world to recuperate from pain of their rejected talents, and other times they enjoyed a free and leisurely life of Chuang Tzu style.
