Time is part of children's daily life; however, it is not a material we can actually see or touch. Therefore, it is an abstract concept for children. In this study, we observed and interviewed 16 students, whose ages are between five and twelve in one week, with the purpose to understand their time concept. We found that the students' time concept development overall fits the findings of earlier researches, only with few differences on the quantity and cyclic of time. Regarding quantity of time, we found students usually used the unit, such as hour and minute, to describe time in their daily life. As to the expressions about sequence and cyclic of time, they were rarely seen, which shows us the difference between textbooks and their living.
