Chou Feng-chia’s series of poems on autumn are adopted in this study as the contacting point to discuss Taiwan classic poetry in Japanese domination, all of which with the theme about autumn are mainly written by Shu Nan-ying, Lin Chih-sian, Lin You-chun, Lyu Hou-an and shih Mei-ciao. Their poetic works all correspond to Chou’s autumn poems. After Japanese domination, Shih Mei-ciao again published his article entitled “Chou Huai Shu Gan” in 《Poem News》and received warm resonance from forty-one people. This study, therefore, pivots upon the principle theme to explore various writing aspects of their correspondent poems, and to give and advanced analysis of the meanings as well as the values. The whole study is comprised by five parts: First, the Lyrical Convention of the Passion of Autumn: Second, Chou Feng-chia’s Poems of Passion of Autumn and the Correspondence Poems; Third, One Heart with Six Minds; Fourth, Re-correspondence to the Passion of autumn, Fifth, Conclusion.
