The article is to explore “Yi-Ren” (戜人) of Ban-Qui (班□) and Jing-Ho-Su-Bian-Zhong (晉候穌編鐘), “Yao-Yi-Tu” (□戜徒) of Shu-YI Zhong (叔尸鐘) and Shu-Yi Bo (叔尸鎛). I think that the “Yi-Ren” are the “obligatory labors” in Zuo-Zhuan in terms of two aspects, the relationships of sounds and the recored of references. The status of the “obligatory labors” is the ordinary people who have to be enrolled to serve the obligation of labors in order to achieve the needs of the county. Thus, the ordinary people are called the “Yi-Ren” while they are serving the obligation of labors. The three main jobs of “Yu-Ren” are collecting and burning sticks, burning walls, and constructing bases, of which the first and the third ones are both relevant to war fighting. It can be realized that the main jobs of the “Yi-Ren” are collecting and burning sticks and constructing bases while they accompany with the army to war fighting. With regard to “Yao-Yi-Tu” (□□徒), I think that it should be explained as “Yao-Yi-Tu” (繇役徒). The word “Yao” (繇) means “labors” and the “Yi-Tu” (役徒) are the same as the “Yi-Ren” (役人) in Zuo-Zhuan (《左傳》).
