本文首先從〈離騷〉主人翁遠遊飛天時，模擬太陽的行程說起，著重討論 「扶桑」與「若木」這兩個空間定點地名，指出它們在初民想像的宇宙觀中， 作為日出入神樹的神話學性質。其次，本文從《淮南子．天文訓》所載太陽一 日運行的系統出發，著重討論「暘谷」與「蒙谷」這兩個空間定點地名，指出 它們作為日出入海洋的神話學性質，更探討初民對於夜間太陽行徑的幾種想像 與猜測（此為第一題）。再次，本文討論了羽族化為水族的神話與太陽／海洋 二元對應原型的關係（此為第二題），並舉出《莊子．逍遙遊》鯤鵬變化的故 事為例。認為〈逍遙遊〉化魚為鳥（或化鳥為魚）神話故事所據者，乃是太陽 每日由海中昇起，運行到天頂；再由天頂運行到西天，沈落到大海中的過程原 型（此為第三題）。更依此原型進一步發展出若木／暘谷、陽／海、東方／西 方、羽族／水族、生命／死亡、南方／北方、天界／黃泉、陰／陽等二元對應 的文化價值取向。

This is a discussion on 3 problems of the myths of ancient sun worship namely the myth of strengthening of magical power of the rays of the sun, the sun orbiting at night, and the transformation of the fish to the eagle. The first problem is related to the mythological nature of the sun going into and coming out of the divine tree of the cosmic view in the imagination of ancient people. The second problem is about the imagination and speculation of ancient people about the path of the sun when orbiting at night. Whereas the third problem is about the myth of the transformation of the small fish to the big bird as described in “XiaoYaoYiu”, is the simulation of the orbit of the sun, from which the opposing cultural value like FuSang/RuoMu, east/west, YuZu/ShuiZu, live/death, north/south, heaven/hell, Yin/Yang is developed.
