Owing to global warming, protection of the earth's resources has become an important social issue. Having social education function, the museum must make quick responses and take positive actions. The perception of “green museum” is to fulfill the museum’s social responsibilities not only to improve its image but also to gain greater recognition and then get supports from the public by its products and services. “Green museum” has become a current trend in museum management, which has also aroused great interest and response from professional groups. The study takes the National Science and Technology Museum as an example to explore the process of its operation to achieve the vision of “green museum” using the Balanced Scorecard method for measurement. Although the results can only be verified in the future, some suggestions are put forward according to the implementation at present stage.
