在學習歷程中,除了學業成就外,自我概念也被認為是重要的教育指標之一,我國十二年國民教育課程綱要中更是列為核心素養內涵之一,因此有不少研究加以探討。相較一般學生,特殊學生的自我概念發展尤為重要,當中學習障礙學生的外表和一般的孩子完全一樣,他們的智力正常,所以家長和老師大多會將孩子的困難歸因於懶惰、不用心、不聽話。他們除學業困難外,常伴隨行為上的問題,其中之一就是自我概念的低落。以往學習障礙學生被認為其自我概念會因為學業成就欠佳而低落,然而是否如此,亦或是迷思?值得我們加以探討,若能瞭解學習障礙學生自我概念的形成與發展,方能提供具體的教育介入,因此本文先從自我概念的相關理論談起,再針對常見學習障礙學生自我概念迷思加以釐清,最後提出幾點建議,以作為實務上的參考。
