　　　　　This is a primary research for developing a suitable model of managing school library media centers in the districts of Yulin and Chiayi. Its purpose is to investigate the management of selected elementary school media centers. Thirty schools were examined. The results showed that the resources, usage, and library media instruction of school library media centers in these areas should be improved. Three suggestions for the future development of School library Media centers are also proposed.
