The paper summarizes the research status of reading promotion and the related research paradigms,classifies the current studies into six types:literature and history paradigm,library science paradigm,reading behavior paradigm, communication and marketing paradigm, legal principle paradigm and reading therapy paradigm,and analyzes the representative scholars,research topics,research methods,main viewpoints of each paradigm, and the position of each paradigm in the study of reading promotion. The author then brings up the topics which are worth further exploring.
