從過度投入理論與激活反彈理論對瓶頸理論的質疑出發,采用ERP技術檢驗了情緒性注意瞬脫的加工過程及其神經機制。行為結果顯示,以恐懼面孔為T1,中性場景圖片為T2,則恐懼面孔T1相對中性面孔T1顯著降低了中性T2的識別正確率,進而誘發了情緒性注意瞬脫。ERP結果進一步顯示,相較于中性面孔T1,恐懼面孔T1誘發的情緒加工影響了代表中樞加工資源的兩階段P3波幅,使得其始終高于代表標準注意瞬脫的中性面孔T1條件和代表非注意瞬脫的單任務基線條件。以上結果證明,情緒性注意瞬脫形成自情緒性T1加工所誘發的中樞資源過度投入,而非源自中樞資源瓶頸。
