The twentieth-century Chinese philosophy, with the impact of the West, is the comparison and assimilation of Chinese and Western philosophies. What distinguishes contemporary Scholasticism from the other schools is: the ways it assimilates the Chinese and the Western, its Christian theistic position, its Thormistic legacy, its unique exploration of the pre-Chin Doctrine of Tian Ming (heavenly determination), and the classic concentration classic reason exercised by traditional Chinese philosophy. Contemporary Chinese Scholasticism brings modern Chinese scholarship a Christian philosophical system that is rooted in Chinese soil. It also offers us a type of academic norms that can't be found either in traditional Chinese philosophy or in the other schools of modern Chinese scholarship.
