This study reviewed the past decade academic leadership research in terms of research paradigm applications in the hospitality industry worldwide by critical and reflective views to offer different perspectives for future hospitality researchers. The findings of study showed that hospitality leadership research developed diversely both in theories and methodologies during the past ten years. This study suggested that qualitative research methods can be used to understand the deeper meanings of hospitality leadership, and the application of female perspectives can destruct traditional values and structures of social contexts regarding female leadership experiences, on the other hand, by ways of getting rid of purely adopt leadership theories from other countries without critical thinking, which can develop indigenous and multiple-cultural grounded theories, would complement and combine the advantages of quantitative and qualitative hospitality leadership researches.
