文化全球化已成為當代一股不可逆轉的世界性潮流，其可被視為全球文化價值體系的普遍化，以及世界各地各種本土文化多元價值體系特殊化之對位辯證進程，而體現為由「特殊主義的普遍化」到「普遍主義的特殊化」。亦即，其不僅是西方強勢文化普及全球的同質化進程，同時也是世界各地各種本土特殊文化向全球散播其價值和象徵意涵的異質化進程，進而在全球場域相互交織，形成一場波瀾壯闊的文化大融合景象。在全球化浪潮的席捲下，中共當局自1978年選擇了改革開放的新路向，對文化和意識形態領域也採取一種更寬容的務實態度，而中國傳統文化也因此得以再現。進入後共產主義時期，中國已逐漸形構出一個「全球／國家／地方」辯證關係下的新型社會形態，而這個建基於中國傳統本土文化的新主體之形成，可被視為是一個因應全球的差異、矛盾、錯置與溝通中，建構、解構與再定義的過程。在全球文化疆域重構的過程中，一種能堅持本土特色且有效融合域外文化的中國民族本土文化，將成為具有世界性的全球文化之有機構成部分。

Cultural globalization has been an unreversal world trend, that could be taken as the process of contrapuntal complex which combined the universalization of global culture value systems and particularization of multi-value local culture systems all the world. It presented as the “Universalization of Particularism” to the “Parti­cularization of Universalism.” Cultural globalization has not only been the global assimilation process of mighty Western cultures, but also the heterogeneity process of local particular cultures which could spread the values and symbolic concepts all over the world. Furthermore, the processes entangled with each other, producing a magnificent cultural fusion scenes. In the face of global waves, China authorities adopted the new line “Open Policy" in 1978. Besides, Beijing also began to take more tolerant pragmatic actions toward culture and ideology areas. Therefore, it caused the representation of Chinese traditional culture. In the Post-Communism era, a new society pattern has emerged from mainland China that gradually formed under the “global/nation/local" dialectic relations. The formation of neo-subject that basing on Chinese own traditional culture could be seen as the processes of constructions, de-constructions, and re-definition which responded global differences, contradictions, malpositions and communications. In the reconstructive processes of global cultural territory, the distinguishing Chinese national culture that preserved local characteristics and fused effectively with foreign cultures will be the organic part of worldwide global cultures.
