In Cheng-sheng third year of Emperor Liang-yuan (梁元帝) (A.D.554), the Chiang-ling (江陵) city was broken and aflame by the troops of West-Wei (西魏). All the officers and scholars in Chiang-ling were forced to immigrate to West-wei's Capital-Chang-an (長安). Thirteen years later, the Lu-men academy (露門學) was established by Emperor Zhou-Wu (北周武帝) in Tian-he second year (A.D. 567). He employed lots of scholars from the south into his academy. What was his intention? Why there were famus scholars of north joined Lu-men academy as well at the period of Emperor Zhou- Syuan (北周宣帝)? Some of modern scholars define Lu-men academy and National academy (國子學) and educational system of the royal teachers (師保之學) are all the same. There are few doubts come from the author; Had National academy existed in North Zhou? Were the scholars in National academy and Lu-men academy the same affiliate? Why did Emperor Zhou-Syuan hold the Confucius ceremony (釋奠之禮) at Lu-men academy? Author would tries to distinguish the member of scholars in Lu-men academy and analysis the changes and influences in North Zhou by three stages. First stage is the period when Yu-wen, Hu (宇文護) ruled the country. Second stage is the period when Emperor Zhou-Wu ruled the country. Third stage is in the period of Emperor Zhou-Syuan. Author would like to explain Lu-men academy is different than National academy and the educational system of royal teachers either. Eventually, these changes of Lu-men academy did reflect the differet roles during Emperor Zhou-Wu and Emperor Zhou-Syuan.
