台灣漫畫迷文化非常活躍,展現積極主動的生產性,對於人物造形講究「美形」尤其著重,主要是因為「美少女」與「美少年」角色大受青睞與歡迎,這類人物圖像到處充斥。所謂「美少女(bishoujo)」或「美少年 (bishonen)」,係指那些容貌美麗的少女或少年,這類人物角色與圖像不僅有其造型方式與美感特徵,同時也反映某種集體價值與美感品味。本研究一方面整理台灣漫畫迷所喜愛的「美少女」與「美少年」人物類型,並分析其形式美感特徵與意義模式,另一方面則探析漫畫迷對美形人物圖像所表露的美感價值判斷,希望進一步了解漫畫迷文化之整體品味與觀點。
In the last decade, Taiwan's manga fan culture becomes highly visible and active and has demonstrated the power of productiveness as could be identified through the thousands of manga doujinshis and manga-related products displayed for sale in the ComicWorld. From the comic market phenomenon, it is obvious that ”manga figure images” are the greatest significance because almost all products are based on or extended from manga figure images. Among the most prominent figure images are ”bishoujo” and ”bishonen”. They both are Japanese terms, literally meaning ”beautiful girl” and ”beautiful boy”. These ”bishoujo” and ”bishonen” images featuring their own visual styles are very popular among manga fans. The popularity of ”bishoujo” and ”bishonen” images is never a simple spectacle, but a complex phenomenon surrounded by an expanding tangle of intersecting interests, ideas, ideologies, and interpretations. In order to understand these fascinating cultural phenomena thoroughly, this study will be approached from two different ways: 1. Categorizing the types of bishoujo and bishonen images popular among Taiwan's manga fans and analyzing the visual, representational features of these types of beautiful figure images; 2. mapping the meaning structure and social functions of bishoujo and bishonen images in the context of Taiwan's manga fan culture.
