The main purpose of this study is to recognize and investigate the relationship between the interpersonal relationship and the job burnout on elementary school teachers. The research samples were selected from the teachers at Central Western District, Eastern District, Southern District, Northern District, Yenping District and Annan District in Tainan. The study was adopted by the stratified random sampling, and the total valid samples were 387. The data is processed by means of descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, the Pearson's product-moment correlation analysis and others for statistical analysis. Conclusions are made as follows:1. The interpersonal relationships of elementary school teachers were a little higher than middle degree.2. The level of elementary school teacher burnout was lower middle.3. Female teachers maintained much more reliable of interpersonal relationship than male teachers.4. Unmarried teachers had more burnout than married teachers.5. There was a significant negative correlation between the interpersonal relationship and the burnout of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, but significant positive correlation with the burnout of personal accomplishment.
