臺灣近年來經濟持續發展，使得國民所得及教育水準普遍提高；而周休二日制度的實施，加以平均壽命延長及退休年齡提早，也意味著人們可用於休閒娛樂的時間相對變多，因此休閒活動參與也日益受到重視。近年來的研究多以年齡、性別、社會經濟、族群為探討遊客活動、特性、行為及心理變項等差異之主要變項。而關於跨區域不同居住地所帶來的差異，則較少人就此進行研究，其實跨區域之差異，往往顯現於文化、地理…等方面，而其又將影響遊客之價值觀及行為。根據內政部營建署（CPAMI）的區劃方式，將遊客以居住地分為臺灣北部、中部及南部地區。本研究將比較對戶外遊憩活動選擇及遊憩阻礙上的差別，並提供經營管理的參考及日後相關研究之方向。
Due to the growth of economy, the incomes and education levels of people in Taiwan increased generally in recent years. Besides, the implement of two-day weekend, the extending of average lifespan, and earlier age to retire caused people to have much more time to recreate. Therefore, people paid more and more attention to participating leisure activities. With age, gender, income, and ethnicity to discussing the differences of variables such as visitor activities, traits, behaviors, and mental factors were mainly in recent researches. There were fewer studies mentioning about the differences of cross-regional, but cross-regional which reflected in terms of culture and geography influenced visitor values and behaviors. According to the division of Construction and Planning Agency Ministry of the Interior (CPAMI), visitors were divided into three groups, including living in northern, central, and southern in Taiwan. This study will compare the differences of choosing an outdoor recreation activity and constraint among the three groups and provide references to institutions of management with expectations.
