老人公共休閒場所為現代社會退休老人調適老年生活的重要活動環境，係目前老 人福利政策的主要發展方向之一。影響老人休閒環境的因素中，除老人個人因素外，尚有社 會環境因素，其中城鄉背景差異為重要因素之一。現有城鄉差異研究明顯趨向於老人休閒場 所之使用現象、環境影響因素.. 等課題研討。 本論文藉由既存環境之發展現象、使用者與 非使用者之需求與認同現象、老人休閒場所之城鄉分類界定，採卡方檢定分析、交叉分析等 研討方式，探究我國老人公共休閒場所實質環境相關課題之城鄉差異。

　　　　　Public leisure environment for the elderly was the major activity place of aged life after their retirement in the modern society. It was also the welfare policy to set senior center for each community in many countries. Except for the atributes of the elderly, there were environmental factors affecting leisure environemtn, rural-urban difference was one of the most important factors. This paper tries to discuss physical issues of senior center from rural-urban differences by chi-square statistical methodology to analyze current phenomenon of existing centers, requirements of suers, and requirements of nonusers. Finally, to offer the finding of ruralurban different issues, including location of site, mix-use possibility,...etc.
