競技游泳是藉自身的浮力與肢體的動作在水中運動前進的技能,由於前進的動力來源主要來自上肢划手動作,因此本論文的目的主要探討影像分析與慣性測量裝置(Inertial measurement unit,IMU)用來分析游泳划手動作的相關研究。針對以往游泳相關的研究,傳統的游泳划手動作研究方法主要使用影像分析;但近年來許多動作分析的專家與學者利用慣性測量裝置,安置於游泳者的身體肢段上,並將影像分析與慣性裝置分析的研究結果進行上肢划手動作探討與評估。慣性裝置的加速規與陀螺儀訊號能提供精確客觀的資料來解釋游泳動作與複製優秀選手動作特色,而且在使用上極具方便性,可以提供游泳教練或是相關人員在訓練時之參考。
