     組織現象的瞭解與描述,從其橫向的角度思考,固然必須同時兼顧同質與異質時 間序列的運行與發展;就其縱深的角度而言,則必須掌握整個社會的脈絡與影響。   本文將以時間序列為主軸,先介紹浪漫主義及現代主義對傳統及當代組織理論的影響, 然後再陳述後現代主義的思想演變,最後則為後現代組織理論的內涵與發展提出一個「詮釋 的詮釋」。
     This paper contends that the understanding, description and explanation of organization events requires the use of a plurality of chronological codes, both in "subjective" / existential and "objective" / historical dimensions of social life and philosphical thinking. In what follows I shall first by the chronolgoical codes, take a brief scan of the influence of romanticism and modernism on traditional and current accounts of the organization. I shall then outline what I believe to be critical ingredients of the postmodern and offer a preliminary scaffold for a postmodern theory of power and efficiency in the organization.
