跨境語言具有國際交際、跨境文化傳播、邊防信息收集、跨境民族認同等非跨境語言所不具有的特殊的社會功能,然而跨境語言資源的保護問題尚未受到應有的重視。從跨境語言在境內外的差異、跨境語言資源保護的價值和意義、跨境語言調查研究需要注意的問題、跨境語言資源保護的政策與措施等方面探討了跨境語言資源保護的相關理論問題。

Cross-border languages possess some s pecial social functions, such as international communication,cross-border cultural transmission, the frontier information collection, cross-border ethnic identity, etc. However, the protection of cross-border language resources has not yet received the attention they deserve. This article discussed several theoretical issues about the protection of cross-border language resources: the differences of cross-border languages in domestic and overseas,value and significance of protection of cross-border language resources,some problems need to pay attention to during cross-border languages investigation,policies and measures of cross-border language resources.
