This study''s starting point is the distinctiveness of Liang Ch''
i-Ch''iao''s educatinal thought. His educational thought posse-
sses characteristics of changing quickly. In this context,
the purpose of this study is placed on which through studying
Liang'' s educational thought to recognize the historical thread
of edu- cational thoughts in modern china and to find out a
thinking pa- ttern which be able to make Liang an aduanced
thinker. The following contents were analysed: 1. The orginal
pattern of Liang''s educational thought. 2. The changing process
and contents of Liang''s educationl thought. 3. The inner and
outside factors of the formation and cha- nging of Liang''s
educationl thought. 4. The generality and distinctiveness of
Liang''s educationl thought.
