以往臺灣精密機械產業之競爭優勢（Competitive Advantage），乃源於較低生產成本所創造出的低價化商品，以及完整產業供應鏈體系所創造出的高度彈性；但由於近年來產業環境丕變及全球市場的激烈競爭，『短交期』與『大量客製化（Mass Customization）』已對臺灣精密機械產業炎來了強大的衝擊，故強調以貫串整個供應鏈體系，有效降低營運成本的快速回應（Quick Response，QR）經營策略，已逐漸受到了企業間的重視。 本研究乃以供應鏈管理（Supply Chain Management，SCM）之觀念，運用理論與實證研究相互驗証的方法，導入價值鏈（Value Chain）模式分析，探討臺灣精密機械產業目前之競爭優勢為何，且將產業供應鏈網路體系展開及分析，以建立有效數學模式，提升產業供應鏈之運作效率，成為快速反應之產業體系。

　　　　　In the past, low cost operation and high flexibility of suppliers are two key competitive advantages for Taiwan's precision machinery industry. During current global competitive environment, more and more customer demands shorter lead time and mass customization products. To face these new challenges, efficient supply chain is the only way for companies to survive. In the research, the concept of value chain is used to analyze the competitive advantages and disadvantages of Taiwan's precision machinery industry from the standpoint of global competition. After the added value in Taiwan's precision machinery industry is found, a network of the supply chain will be constructed and be evaluated.
