智慧型運輸系統(Intelligent Transportation Systems,ITS)已廣泛被許多先進國家視為提昇運輸效能之改善方案,雖然臺灣ITS之相關研究文獻也已相當豐富,然而大多主要參考國外的系統架構與技術能力,卻鮮少從專利的角度了解ITS的發展概況。本研究以臺灣與大陸的專利資料庫為資料來源,利用專利地圖分析法中之相關資訊為輔助,對ITS七大類別系統進行比較分析。研究發現AVCSS雖然是目前全球各國ITS發展上的主力系統,然而選擇適合自身利益與符合商業環境需求的特定系統進行研發,將是在全球ITS的市場競爭中最重要的生存原則。而本研究亦顯示了善用分析專利亦可提供對於了解ITS的現況與未來發展趨勢許多有用的資訊。
ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) was long regarded as a useful solution to solving the transportation dilemma by many industrialized nations. Although much work in Taiwan has been conducted on ITS, most of it emphasized much on imitating ITS development overseas and often overlooked important patent implications. To develop successful ITS techniques truly needed in Taiwan in the future, this paper attempts to portray current ITS development using patent mapping analysis to data mining patent databases. It is found that although the AVCSS is the main force in global ITS patent databases at present, other ITS-related categories still have superior commercial potential in various ITS markets. It is confirmed in this study that ITS-related patents can also generate much useful insight into the current development and future prospect of ITS.
