Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) could improve survival of cardiac arrest victims. However, when an accident occurs, bystander CPR rate remained low. The patent information is an important indicator to assessment the level of technological innovation of CPR industry. Using the theory and method of patent map and the patent data of this study are obtained from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent databases. The studied on the overall development trend of CPR industry, the number of patent applications, the contrast between respective countries to which the technology belongs, patent arrangement, and so on. Therefore, develop a cardiac massage assistive device to replace manual CPR, on the market are concerned aid products. Finally, the results help the experts to design and develop CPR devices, and become a reference basis of innovation research and patent layout.
