The study aims at exploring the development and content difference of the set pattern between martial arts and contesting martial arts in Taiwan for the reference of the government and related association of martial arts. This study applies documentary analysis, by using descriptive, interpretative, and comparative analysis, as the research method. Meanwhile, SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threat) of administration theory is applied as the instrument. Excluding San Da, the martial-art-contest arena, reality fighting and Tai Chi Chuan Pushing Hands, the study focuses on set patterns of these two sports. Hopefully, the result of the study will locate Blue Ocean Strategy for the promotion and future development of martial arts.
