The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Professional Competency of the years of experience for teaching profession, focus on Japanese teachers at upper secondary education in northern Taiwan. According to the purpose, this study can be significant resource for future in-service training and teacher education. The findings from this survey are as follows: 1. There were significant differences on self-evaluation of high school Japanese teachers「under 29 years old」on (1)language and education territory, (2)social cultural and regional territory, (3)language use territory. 2. There were significant differences on self-evaluation of high school Japanese teachers who were「30–39 years old」,「40–49 years old」, and 「above 50 years old」on(1)language and average territory,(2)language and education territory, and (3)social, cultural and regional territory. 3. There were significant differences on self-evaluation between the 4 groups (different age classes) on language and education territory.
