本文的主要目的在於描述原住民族接受教育所實科教學，以及殖民者在部落所推動農業技術後，探究傳統農業知識轉變的過程。原住民族接受來自日本殖民者之農業知識與技術後，造成水田耕作面積的增加；同時，傳統的祭儀作物—小米依舊存在，可見傳統與現代共存於部落之間。由此可知知識轉型無法新舊截然二分，需要長期實踐的過程，才能找到適合部落發展的知識。

The main object of this study is to describe when indigenous peoples accept the teaching of agricultural subject and agricultural technology which the colonists promote, and explore the process of knowledge transformation of traditional agriculture. Indigenous peoples learned agricultural knowledge and technology from Japanese colonists, and resulted in the increase in the area of paddy cultivation. In the same time, there still were traditional ritual corps-millet, visible between tradition and modernity coexisted in the tribe. It could not separate the knowledge transformation into new and old style. In order to find the knowledge for tribal development, it needed a long-term practice.
