Based on the perspectives of psychology, history of science, philosophy of science, and social constructivism, this article reviews scientific creativity, presents some important principles of inspiring creativity, and provides some suggestions for establishing creative space. After a thorough literature review, some valuable findings which contribute to the effective process of science teaching are summarized. They are (a) to provide students with proper thinking questions, (b) to stimulate students' sensitivity to problems, (c) to enhance students' intellectual flexibility, (d) to help students think holistically about problems, and (e) to encourage students to explore, discover, reflect, discuss in the process of learning in order to solve problems.
