理解和回應當前科技革命對社會文化和主體存在的影響,是進入21世紀后諸哲學流派、文化理論的共同努力。齊澤克對后人類兩個流派、兩種傾向的闡述與質疑,始終置于他對數字資本主義的意識形態批判中。無論是文化左翼的后人類思潮,還是超人類主義的奇點理論,其共同傾向在于"普羅米修斯的恥辱"和人機混雜的新迷思。齊澤克數十年的著述,始終關注前沿科技發展,在對后現代多元主體、后人類主客混雜狀態和數字大他者的批判基礎上,齊澤克以對"非人"和"后主體性"概念的標舉,顯示了后"索卡爾"時代,人文理論介入科技話語的努力。
