Extended researches have showed that employee professionalism may be related to job quality positively or negatively. By reasoning, workplace friendship may specify the relationship between employee professionalism and job quality. Data for this study were obtained by means of questionnaires from international business employees. 336 ques-tionnaires were sent out and the valid questionnaires were 224 by deleting incomplete or poor response questionnaires. A hierarchical regression analysis was taken to test 4 hy-potheses. The results show that employee professionalism is associated positively with workplace friendship. Workplace friendship is associated positively with job quality. Employee professionalism is associated positively with job quality. The intervening ef-fect of workplace friendship is partially supported. Practical suggestions and future study are also provided.
