Abstract
Family control, as a kind of governance mechanism, has both positive and negative effects in the development process of enterprises. Strengthening its control position by family members can promote certain competitive advantages for enterprises, and internationalization is quite important. For the general international enterprises, enterprises need continuous improvement and development strategies, so the internationalized dual innovation is even more important. However, the influence of internationalized dual innovation on family business control may differ, and whether family business control will affect the company's dual innovation and business performance is also the motivation of this study. Therefore, the purpose of this study is (1) to explore the situation of family business internationalization, (2) to explore the relationship between family business internationalization and family control, (3) to explore the relationship among family control, dual innovation and business performance, (4) to explore the correlation between family business internationalization, family control, dual innovation and business performance. The results of this study were based on the hybrid research method for the analysis of L case company, and the data of family control, internationalization, dual innovation and business performance from 2014 to 2016 was discussed. Through descriptive statistical analysis of the individual cases, the results show that family control had an impact on international, dual innovation and business performance. SPSS 21.0 was also used to analyze the empirical results and it was found that family control had a positive effect on internationalization, dual innovation and business performance, internalization and dual innovation had a mediating effect between family control and business performance, and internalization and dual innovation had a significant impact on business performance under the interaction. Those are the contributions of this research and can be analyzed from different angles of family control in the future.
