　　　　　本研究透過網際網路對矽谷華人發放問卷、訪談國內知名創投公司、以及次級資料蒐集三種方式，探索性地分析人際網絡在矽谷華人與臺灣之間所扮演的角色。研究結果發現，矽谷華人企業或個人尋求臺灣資源時，最有可能透過個人人際網絡途徑取得。同時，矽谷華人與臺灣的網絡關係存在某種程度的結構洞，雙灣間資訊不夠流通，網絡關係需要加強；而臺灣的創投業者與矽谷華人社團填補了雙灣的結構洞，扮演「橋」的角色。最後，本研究根據探索觀察所得，就理論推衍出五個相關的研究命題，以助未來定量研究的發展。
　　　　　This study explores the role of interpersonal networks between Silicon Valley and Taiwan in high-tech industry, using questionnaires surveyed through the Internet, extensive field interviews, and secondary data. The research finds that the effect and role of personal networks in both Silicon Valley and Taiwan are crucial and unique. Employing personal networks is the most likely way for Silicon Valley Taiwanese to obtain resources from Taiwan. Meanwhile, it is found that Taiwan’s venture capitalists and Silicon Valley’s Taiwanese social groups play the “bridge” role to fill in the position of the structure hole. In addition, we derive five propositions from our exploratory observations for future research.
