The present study undertook an analysis of citizen attendance and required facilities of art exhibitions and performances in Kaohsiung and Pingtung area, Taiwan. the survey showed that nearly 50% of the respondents did not attend any art exhibitions or performing arts events this last year. It also showed that there was only 10% of the people greater than performing arts events. It further showed that the respondents had less interest in art classes. Finally, the correlation between respondents’ characteristics, attendance and participation was significant.
