本研究評估新竹市觀光景點並提出旅遊路線之規劃。本研究發現在景點缺失方面，出現交通混亂及行人缺乏路權、公共藝術品不足、古蹟缺乏維護、導覽資訊不足、夜間景觀不足等問題。新竹市觀光資源的優勢在於古城古蹟多、優美的海岸線、生活機能強、教育程度及收入高、及交通便捷。新竹市觀光資源的劣勢則在於缺少人行步道、交通擁擠、停車不便、缺乏便利的大眾運輸系統、沒有大山大水、及觀光景點欠缺規劃與聯繫。

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the touring scene and formulate the traveling packages of Hsinchu City. We found several problems of tourism in Hsinchu City: traffic jam, lacking of public art, inadequate maintenance of ancient relics, insufficient touring information and night scene. The touristic advantages of Hsinchu City are: numerous ancient relics, beautiful coastline, superior function of living, high social economic status, and convenient traffic conditions. The touristic limits of Hsinchu City are: lacking of pedestrian space, traffic jam, insufficient parking space, inconvenient mass transit system, and poor programming of touring scene.
