本研究之主要目的在探討影響童年受不當對待(childhood maltreatment)與家庭環境之關係，分析不同背景變項（性別與社會經濟地位）在童年受不當對待與家庭氣氛上的差異，以及影響童年被不當對待各重要因子之關聯及預測作用。本研究的受試者共有435人，經以網路問卷的方式施以「基本資料與家庭社經水準調查表」、「童年受不當對待經驗量表」與「家庭氣氛量表」。所得資料以t考驗、皮爾森積差相關、簡單迴歸、路徑分析法進行統計分析。本研究發現不同社經地位受試者之家庭氣氛與童年受不當對待經驗有顯著差異，高社經地位者家庭環境較佳、童年較少受不當對待；不同性別在童年受不當對待得分上也有顯著差異，男生比女生受到更多不良對待；童年受不當對待各因素與家庭氣氛各因素成顯著負相關，顯示家庭氣氛較好者，較不會受到不當對待；徑路分析結果顯示，性別、社會經濟地位與家庭氣氛都是童年受不當對待的顯著重要預測因子。本研究根據研究發現對政府、教育及兒童福利提供各項建議。
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the association between childhood maltreatment and family environment. We explored the group differences of background variables in childhood maltreatment and family environment, and tested the best predictors in childhood maltreatment. Subjects, 435 adults getting from internet, were administrated by Background Investigation, Family Environment Scale, and Childhood Maltreatment Scale. Data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson correlation, regression and path analysis. The main finding of the study is that higher level of SES had better family climate, and better family atmosphere revealed significantly less experiences of childhood maltreatment. Males rather than females have worse experiences of childhood maltreatment. Moreover, there were significantly negative correlative correlations between all factors of family climate and childhood maltreatment. Based on regression and path analysis, sex, SES, family climate were best predictors for childhood maltreatment in this study. Finally, some suggestions for government, education and child welfare were made according the findings.
