「移民女性化」現象是近年來國際人口流動的主要特徵之一。研究顯示，透過婚姻移民台灣的外籍與大陸配偶，其家庭有較高的比率落入貧窮。本文主要探討移民婦女在我國社會面臨貧窮與社會資本積累障礙的關係。同時並進一步分析對於在移居社會缺乏 社會資本的移民婦女，政府及民間社會應創造結合多元文化的活動與機會，幫助移民婦女個人及家庭發展立基於多元文化的社會資本。同時在系統層面，亦應融入多元文化的內涵於社會經濟活動與服務規劃中，以協助移民婦女在台灣社會的網絡開拓與社會參與的平等機會。

The recent trend of international migration has showed the significant phenomenon of “the feminization of immigration”. Research found that immigrant women who came from Southeastern Asia and Mainland China through marrying Males in Taiwan, their families had higher poverty rate than the average. This article focuses on discussing the poverty of immigration women in Taiwan and their obstacles of developing social capital which might lessen the threat of poverty issues. This article also demonstrates the importance of the government, social and civil organizations to develop multicultural-based policies and strategies for helping immigrant women to access to the community, educational, economic, recreational and social welfare opportunities, information and activities, because all these endeavors would facilitate immigrant women’s opportunities to extend their social network. In the process of developing multicultural environment, gender and class issues of immigrant women should also be noticed.
